Does God forget about His chosen people and those who
are called by His Name? What makes the weak person
strong and able to withstand difficulties and trials?
How long is God faithful to those that love Him and
keep His commandments?
God spoke through Isaiah to explain why God will not
forget His children. It would be be with a great
exception if a woman were able to forget her child,
but an impossility with God to forget His children--
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have
compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may
forget, Yet I will not forget you" (Isa 49:15). He
can not and will not forget those that have been
born of His nature.
Jesus knew the frailty of the human frame and gave
the advice to gain strength for the coming trials--
"Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the
time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the
flesh is weak" (Mat 26:41). Prayer strengthens the
spirit and will of a person to withstand difficulty.
Moses exhorted his people not to let an important fact
escape their notice. God's promise and pact is forever--
"Know for sure that the LORD your God, He is God, the
faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them
that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand
generations" (Deut 7:9). We love Him and want to please
Him because He has been merciful and kind to us.
Let us remember who is the God that remembers all things.
God's name is Jehová El Berith. He is the God that makes
promises to His people, and does not forget. He does not
have the frailty of our human frame, and He is mindful
that we are but dust. Lift your hands to Him and Praise
Him today for the fact that He is the faithful God that
remembers His promises to us! Make your promises to Him
today and see the difference!
