What will our children that have not yet been born be able
to say about those that lived before them? Was the universe
created by truth and justice or by error and chance? If God
is so perfect, how can He permit so much in the world that
is not perfect?
The Psalmist wrote with a purpose in mind that those yet
to be born would read and know about God, His greatness-
"This will be written for the generation to come, That a
people Yet to be Created may praise the LORD. For He
looked down from His Holy Height; From heaven the LORD
gazed upon the earth, To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To set free those who were doomed to death, That men may
tell of the Name of the LORD in Zion And His praise in
Jerusalem" (Psa 102:18).He was motivated to praise God for
His mercy and the holy way of living that God provided.
The Psalmist tells us God created the universe by His
perfect methods and that there is great joy at His Name--
"The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world
and all it contains, You have created them. The north and
the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon shout
for joy at Your Name. You have a strong arm; Your hand is
mighty, Your right hand is exalted. Righteousness and
justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness
and truth go before You" (Psa 89:12). His universe is His
holy possession that leads us in a holy way.
God spoke through Isaiah to tell His people that the
reason He had not destroyed them for their terrible acts
was that He intended to create a new people with a new
nature. He planned for His creation to praise Him----
"For the sake of My name I delay My wrath, And for My
praise I restrain it for you, In order not to cut you off
"Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have
tested you in the furnace of affliction. "For My own sake,
for My own sake, I will act; How can My name be profaned?
And My glory I will not give to another" (Isa 48:9). God
purposes to bless us as we praise Him for His methods.
Let us remember who has the holier and righteous way.
God's Name is Jehová Elohim. He is the God who puts
our feet on a highway of holiness that allows us to
enter at the narrow gate of eternal life, not the wide
broadway that leads to destruction. Lift your hands,
heart to Him for His creation and provision of the
righteous way. You can Trust Him and Praise Him
Today for a holy way and better way!
