Do you believe there is a big chicken in the universe that
flew around and laid an egg and it became the earth? That
may seem like an absurd question, but there are many strange
ideas about how the earth was formed. Has anyone explained
correctly the creation question? Was there a Creator and
what is He thinking? Is it important what He thinks or what
we think?
Isaiah had difficulty understanding how anyone could ever
believe any different than God was the creator of all--
"Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The Lord is always
the everlasting God; He created all the world. He never
grows tired or weary. No one understands His thoughts"
(Isa 40:28). It does seem strange that anyone would be
foolish enough to believe another way of creation. Men
are many times deceived that there is another force that
could possibly be as strong as God; They are mistaken.
Amos the prophet declared that he would be the one that
would explain God's thoughts to the people. They did not
understand God. He explained God's strong power of creation-
"God is the one who made the mountains and created the
winds. He makes His thoughts known to people; He makes
the change of day into night. He walks on the heights
of the earth. This is His name: the Lord God Almighty!
(Amos 4:13). The people were searching for anything that
would satisfy them, but could not find it. Amos preached
for them to turn to God to find satisfaction in God.
The Psalmist declared the difficulty to comprehend God
or His holy ways; and couldn't add the mercies received-
"O God, how difficult I find your thoughts; how many of
them there are!" (Psa 139:17) It should help to keep one
in the fear of the Lord during the day, if when we wake
in the morning, our first thoughts are of Him. He prayed
that God would search his thoughts and rid him of evil-
"Examine me, O God, and know my mind; test me, know and
discover my thoughts" (Psa 139:23). The writer of the
Proverbs wisely warned of the importance of our thoughts-
"Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your
thoughts" (Pro 4:23). The narrow way of godliness always
pleases God and profits us; It is the good narrow way.
Let us remember Who has the holier and righteous way.
God's Name is Jehová Elohim. He is the God who puts
our feet on a highway of holiness that allows us to
enter at the narrow gate of eternal life, not the wide
broadway that leads to destruction. Lift your hands,
heart to Him for His creation and provision of the
righteous way. You can Trust Him and Praise Him
Today for a holy way and better way!
