Did God create man to fail morally? What was God's best
plan for man in creation? Was there a "plan A" and a
"plan B" depending on what happened in the perfect garden?
The Scripture tells us that God created man and then woman.
Their job title was, Landlord of the Garden. Watchover all
the animals and the garden. Only one commandment was given
to them: You Shall Not eat of the tree of knowledge of good
evil. It was God's plan that they would know Him and follow
Him out of faith, love, devotion, and obedience.
They were innocent and had no knowledege of what was
wrong in God's eyes. They simply needed to obey God.
They could eat the fruit of all the other trees, but not
this one. By choosing to eat of the fruit of this tree;
They disobeyed God, deliberately deciding that they could
risk the death penalty to enjoy the forbidden fruit. That
risk was to doubt God and to predict that a loving God
would surely not allow them to die.
The Writer of the Book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus was
our example of what was God's ideal "plan A". Jesus chose
to learn by faith, love, devotion, and obedience. Man chose
to learn by suffering. God's "plan B" was to send His son
Jesus to suffer that death penalty for us and make a way
for the relationship with God to be right again.
Let us remember who has the holier and more righteous way.
God's name is Jehová Elohim. He is the God who prefers for
us to learn from obedience to Him. We can learn from love
and devotion to the God who created us. We can learn from
believing His word is true. You can Trust Him and Praise Him
Today for a holy way and better way!
