Is is enough to acknowledge that God is your Creator or
what else should one say about Him? At Christmas we think
of the gifts that may come from family and friends around
us, but where do the really good gifts come from? What
does God do for the believer personally?
Elihu used his knowledge of God to make a defense to
others about the righteousness of God; that God uses
bad circumstances for good, He is in charge of all---
"Be patient and listen a little longer to what I am
saying on God's behalf. My knowledge is wide; I will
use what I know to show that God, My Creator, is
just" (Job 36:1-2). He urged others to listen to the
logic of one who knew God, His mercy, and goodness.
James knew that God did not bring dark times to man
to hurt him, but to bring light and hope to everyone--
"Every good gift and every perfect present comes from
heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the
heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness
by turning" (Jas 1:17). He is the light that shines in
darkness, that reminds us He is sovereign in all.
Paul told his Colossian friends that God renews the
believer and teaches him about Himself, to give him
a better way, and to demonstrate Himself to him---
"You have put on the new self. This is the new being
which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in His
own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge
of Himself" (Col 3:10). As we learn about Him, we
know Him better, and become like Him.
Let us remember who has the holier and righteous way.
God's Name is Jehová Elohim. He is the God who puts
our feet on a highway of holiness that allows us to
enter at the narrow gate of eternal life, not the wide
broadway that leads to destruction. Lift your hands,
heart to Him for His creation and provision of the
righteous way. You can Trust Him and Praise Him
Today for a holy way and better way!
