Happy New Year!!!!
Would you like to know that your plans for this year would
last and endure any difficulties. Would you be secure and
firm in your plans if you had a leader with supernatural
ability? Do you believe that your objectives this year will
be met with little opposition?
The Psalmist declared the security of the believer in all
circumstances is firm and does not doubt God's ability---
"Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in
everlasting remembrance; He will not be afraid of bad news,
for his heart is steadfast; he is always trusting the Lord"
(Psa 112:6). The believer knows that his eternal future is
in the hands of the eternal God who will not forget him.
Isaiah told of Moses the leader that trusted in the God
that perfomed many great miracles to fulfill His purpose--
"Who led them by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious
arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an
Everlasting Name, Who led them through the deep, As a horse
in the wilderness, so they may not stumble?" (Isa 63:12-13).
His Everlasting Name has lasted through all generations of
human history and will last throughout all eternity.
Paul knew that the right life and plans would be met with
opposition. He encouraged Timothy not to give in to oppostion-
"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to
which you were also called and have confessed the sincere and
good confession in the presence of many witnesses that God is
your Savior, Who alone has immortality, dwelling in light that
is unapproachable, Whom no man has seen or can see, to Whom
be honor and Everlasting Power" (1Tim 6:12,16) Amen.
Paul wanted Timothy to understand the importance of his salvation
that was made by his profession and confession of faith and that
he should rely on God's Everlasting Power to now maintain him.
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
