Does the the Scripture teach mankind that God intends for
His people to be free? How does God maintain that purpose
and intention toward us? What motivates God to give freedom
to His people and maintain His purpose towards us?
The Psalmist preached of the freedom that came from God's
promises and agreement with man. That agreement is forever-
"He set His people free and made an Eternal Covenant with
them. Holy and mighty is He!" (Psa 111:9). His agreements
are perfect and He has sufficient power to enforce every
promise, covenant, agreement, or pact that He makes for all
eternity. When the Lord sets His people free it is eternal!
The Psalmist proclaimed the Eternal Righteousness of the
Lord that cannot end or terminate. His integrity is without flaw-
"All He does is full of honor and majesty; His righteousness
is eternal" (Psa 111:3). He rules the universe with majesty
and glory. His agreements and covenants cannot be nullified
because they are perfect and are executed in righteousness.
The Psalmist wrote of the unending love of the Lord that is
proved by the goodness of God. One can always trust God--
"The Lord is good; His Eeternal Love and His faithfulness
lasts forever" (Psa 100:5). Love for man motivated the Lord
to make covenants with us and that love will not change or
terminate. Because the Lord is full of truth and mercy, we
know that He will be faithful to His promises to us!
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
Name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of Eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that Exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
