What do you think would be an appropriate act of gratitude
to show someone that saved your life? What do you think the
person would ask in return for saving your life? Would you
be a new person from the experience?
Daniel declared his gratitude to God after God revealed
to him an answer that saved his life and the lives of his
friends. The king of the land was about to kill them if
Daniel could not interpret the dream. But when Daniel
was saved he expressed his love for God by his praises-
"Blessed be the Name of the Lord from eternity and for
evermore: for wisdom and fortitude are his" (Dan 2:20).
Daniel considered it a privilege to know the eternal God
that had demonstrated so much love and wisdom to him!
The Psalmist knew the value of thanking God and praising
Him. The Lord revealed His appreciation and promise for
those who want to love the eternal God for all eternity-
"He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me;
And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the
salvation of God" (Sal 50:23). His salvation promises
to those that love and follow Him that they will not see
the second death, but will live with Him forever and be
in His presence forevermore to praise Him!
Paul declared from his own personal experience the peace
and mercy that he found from ordering his was right. He
gloried only in the cross of Christ and was crucified to
to the things of the world. He was an eternally new man-
"And those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be
upon them, and upon the Israel of God" (Gal 6:16). The
eternal God of Israel is also the eternal God of all those
who will walk by His rule; those of every race and nation.
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
Name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of Eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that Exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
