Does God ask questions frequently to His Believers and
His Disciples? Does God intend for His own followers to
be bold in their faith and assurance of His ability? If
there was a way to avoid trouble and judgment, would it
be a wise move to avoid it?
Peter wisely responded to Jesus when asked if he and
the other disciples were going to abandon Jesus also--
"Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give
eternal life" (John 6:68). Peter hoped in the message
of Jesus by faith that current persecution was not reason
sufficient to abandon a way of life that would lead to
reward and continued presence with Christ. He believed
in the ability of God that lived in eternity past and
He Who would continue to live in the eternity future.
John wisely wrote to the new Church/Believers to give
them hope and confidence in their new faith in Christ--
"And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal
life, and this life is in His Son; he who has the Son
has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does
not have the life; These things I have written to you who
believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you
may know that you have eternal life" (1John 5:11-13).
God intends for His own children to have the assurance
that their soul and life that they have entrusted to Him
is secure for all eternity by His promise. God purposes
to make bold His Believers/Disciples by His Word.
Jesus stressed the importance of avoiding the judgment,
wrath, and fury of a holy God by accepting His WORD--
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and
believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not
come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them
you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness
of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may
have life" (John 5:24,39,40). There were those that could
not accept Him, but no reason is sufficient for any man
not to come to Christ. All men need His free salvation and
will find the assurance for their soul by accepting Him!
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
Name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of Eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that Exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
