What memorial do you know that should last throughout all
generations? Is there a value to acknowledge a memorial that
lasts throughout all generations? What plans can you make or
counsel can you give that will last throughout all generations?
The Scripture tells us that the story of Exodus is a memorial
to the power of God and the deliverance by God of His people:
God instructed Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of
Israel: "The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.
This is My Name forever, and this is My memorial to all
generations" (Exo 3:15). This memorial has lasted throughout
history and all generations. This memorial will continue to
last throughout all generations as a reminder that God has a
purpose to deliver mankind from the bondage of sin.
We often forget many things of value to us, however if we can
remember our Maker and His precepts, God promises His
support and reward for us. The Scripture tells us: "God does not
withdraw His eyes from the righteous; But they are on the throne
with kings, For He has seated them forever,, And they are
exalted" (Job 36:7). The Psalmist tells us: "For You have made
him most blessed forever,; You have made him exceedingly
glad with Your presence" (Psa 21:6).
We can make plans for our eternal future because our existing
bodies will pass away. If your focus is your Lord, no matter
what happens in this life can harm you. The Psalmist tells us:
"My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my
heart and my portion forever," (Psa 73:26). If you give the
counsel of God and make plans according to His will it will
last forever. The Psalmist tells us: "The counsel of the Lord
stands forever,, The plans of His heart to all generations"
(Psa 33:11). Your best legacy will be God's counsel and plan.
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
