Why is Israel so significant and central in the world
order? Should a person try to find God to know in his
mind that God exists, or make an attempt to know what
people say about Him is true or not? Will one encounter
difficulties if he proceeds to make such an investigation?
Isaiah tells us that Spiritual Israel is the body/group of
believers; those that believe God created the universe,
perpetuated eternal life by sending His Son Jesus to
pay the penalty for the sin of mankind, and could do
that because He lived a sacrificial life without blemish.
Those without the faith and the personal relationship of
Christ and the living God are condemned and confused---
"All of them are put to shame and confounded, the makers
of idols go in confusion together. But Israel is saved by
the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put
to shame or confounded to all eternity. For thus says the
Lord, Who created the heavens (He is God!), Who formed
the earth and made it (He established it; He did not create it
a chaos, He formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord, and
there is no other" (Isa 45:16-18). God promises that the
believer will understand all things in eternity.
James tells us that God's plan of blessing mankind is to
draw men unto Himself, so that they may find eternal life--
"So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, Even all
the Gentiles who are called by My Name, Says the Lord
Who does all these things. Known to God from eternity are
all His works" (Acts 15:17-18). God can't forget what He
does or what He has planned from the beginning of eternity.
The Psalmist tells us that a man who has a purpose to
seek God will encounter battles against evil forces, but he
is relying on his faith in God to have the victory--"He will
bring me safely back from the battles that I fight against
so many enemies. God, Who has ruled from eternity, will
hear me and defeat them; for they refuse to change, and
they do not fear Him" (Psa 55:18-19). He knows that the
God who holds eternity in His hand can defeat all enemies.
Let us remember the God that is our Everlasting God. God's
name is Jehová El Olam. He is the God of eternity that always
was and always will be. He is the God who has an eternal purpose
for us that exceeds what any mind may conceive. He understands
human frailty and the shortness of life. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our
Everlasting God that will always be there for us!
