Where is a place to go to find comfort and solace on a
regular basis? Can that place be a source of supply that
will energize you and bring peace? In places of solitude
does God reveal things to us that have great meaning and
purpose for us and others?
The Scripture tells us that Isaac came to the place that
was well known because of Hagar's encounter with God-
"Isaac had come into the wilderness of 'The Well of the
Living One Who Sees Me' and was staying in the southern
part of Canaan" (Gen 24:62). Isaac stayed there, and
made the well of the Living One and all-seeing God his
constant source of supply. Some scholars believe that
there possibly could been a sentimental attitude toward
this place that brought him comfort.
The Scripture tells us Isaac found blessing from God at
this place. He was energized and enjoyed God's presence-
After the death of Abraham, God blessed his son Isaac,
who lived near 'The Well of the Living One Who Sees Me'
(Gen 25:11). Isaac met Rebecca here and made his spirit
feel at home near the Well; but best of all, the fact
that he there enjoyed fellowship with the Living One,
made him select that special "holy place" for his home.
He learned to live in the presence of the Living One.
He remembered, "You Lord, You are God that sees me".
When Jesus appeared to the Apostle John, He spoke to
him to calm him and to reveal that He lives forever--
"And when I saw Him, I went down on my face at His feet
as one dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying,
have no fear; I am the first and the last and the Living
One" (Rev 1:17). The message of Jesus for the churches
revealed that He continues to see all and know all the
events and hearts of men. His message was to encourage
those good efforts and accomplishments of the churches,
and to remind them of what needed to change.
Let us remember who is the God that sees all things.
God's Name is Jehová El Roi. He is the God that sees
the NEEDS of His people, that is our moral conscience
and strength daily, and is our strong support because
our hearts are truly His. Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that
that sees everything that we need!
