Is God interested in satisfying the needs of His people?
What benefit does a sure faith in God and a truthful heart
have to any individual? How can an individual find the
support that he needs emotionally, mentally, physically,
and spiritually?
The Lord sees the needs of His people and He is willing
to hear and answer the prayers of His people; that they
may have what they ask, and find what they seek. He does
this to those who love His Name and call on Him in truth-
"You give them enough and satisfy the needs of all that
live" (Psa 145:16). The Lord satisfies the desire of all
living things, except the unreasonable children of men,
who are satisfied with nothing. He does good to all the
children of men; and His own people in a special manner.
The writer to the Hebrews stressed the importance to call
on God in truth and sincerity to have a clear conscience--
"So let us come near to God with a sincere heart and a sure
faith, with hearts that have been purified from any guilty
conscience" (Heb 10:22a). The sure faith that God pardons
and gives us a clear conscience is our strength against
all that would accuse us. The Holy Spirit actually becomes
our guide and strength to lead us away from those things
that could wound our conscience.
Paul wrote to young Timothy to give him the secret of
having the strong support of the Lord. He would be able
to prove that his heart was sincere by his conscience-
"And keep your faith and a clear conscience. There are
some who have not listened to their conscience and have
made a ruin of their faith" (1Tim 1:19). Timothy proved
that his heart was truly a possession of the Lord, and
was able to avoid a shipwreck of his faith. Sincerity
with God became an asset and strong virtue for him. He
found that God strongly supported him in his youth.
Let us remember who is the God that sees all things.
God's Name is Jehová El Roi. He is the God that sees
the NEEDS of His people, that is our moral conscience
and strength daily, and is our strong support because
our hearts are truly His. Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that
that sees everything that we need!
