If you were asked which of your five senses was the most
important to you, how would you respond? Can a person see
without his physical eyesight? How does our view of life
affect our lifestyle and actions?
Jesus healed a blind man and gave him his sight because
the blind man had faith. He believed someone had the
power to heal him that he could not see. Some might say
it was not very smart for the man to believe something
that he could not see, but reconsider that the man was
no longer blind after his encounter with Jesus. In our
time Jesus still asks the same question to those that
that seek Him: "What do you want me to do for you?"
Jesus asked him. "Teacher," the blind man answered,
"I want to see again" (Mark 10:51).
The Writer of Hebrews tells us that faith is believing
and hoping things to be true that we can not see: "To
have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to
to be certain of the things we cannot see" (Hebrews 11:1).
Just as the blind man was considered foolish for
expecting Jesus to respond to his request, believers
are many times considered foolish for their narrow
views. For instance: During the times of Noah when the
rain started and there was no place to go, the opinion
of those that had scoffed at Noah's family was somewhat
different when it started to rain.
Just as it is impossible to live without help if we
lose our physical sight, so it is impossible to live
eternally with God without our eyes of faith: "No one
can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God
must have faith that God exists and rewards those who
seek Him" (Heb 11:6). The Scripture tells us that God
sees our heart, knows when we believe, and then rewards
us.
Let us remember who is the God that sees everything and
nothing is hidden from Him. God's name is Jehová El Roi.
Jehová El Roi sees the needs of His people. His view of
our circumstances is not "out of sight" or "out of mind".
He has placed the value of your soul more than that of
the entire world and its contents. Raise your hands to
Him and Praise Him today for His supernatural vision that
also has faith in His children!
