Is God still speaking today to humanity? Is He listening
to humanity today? What do you think He is saying about
what He sees today? Will God reward and bless a person
for acknowledging His existence?
Moses simply advised his people that there is reward and
blessing by living to please God: "When you will listen
to the voice of Jehová your God, to keep all His laws
which I command you this day, to do that which is right
in the eyes of Jehová your God" (Deut 13:18). God
will be merciful to His people; He will keep His promises.
God never sleeps, and is watching over all of His creation
with an intent interest in our affairs.
The Scripture tells us that King David relied on the
ability of God to see his heart's condition and the
mercy of God to see his repentance that would enable
him to be in God's good favor: "And the king said
unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city:
if I shall find favor in the eyes of Jehová your
God, He will bring me again, and show me both it,
and His habitation" (2Sam 15:25). David later found
mercy and favor in God's eyes, and it is interesting
that "mercy and goodness followed him all the days of
his life".
The Scripture tells us that there was a man that did not
adhere to the laws of God: "Twenty years old was Ahaz
when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in
Jerusalem: and he did not do what was right in the eyes
of Jehová his God, like David his father" (2Ki 16:2).
He worshipped other gods that could not see, but in the
end had to give an account of his life to his God that
could see his total life. Ahaz did not seek God's mercy
and found God's judgement.
Let us remember who is the God that sees all things.
God's name is Jehová El Roi. He is the God that sees
the needs of His people, to be the moral conscience
and strength daily, and to strongly support those
whose hearts are truly His. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the
all-seeing God today!
