Is there a guarantee that your work will be prosperous
and meet all your needs? Should one receive honor that
is able to supply all needs and save the lives of others?
Who then can meet our needs and why is it possible that
He can do that?
Most agree that one's work does not always make a
person prosperous or in some cases meet the basic
needs that he has. But the promise from God through
the Psalmist tells us about God's guarantee for work.
"Happy are those who obey the Lord, who live by His
commands. Your work will provide for your needs; you
will be happy and prosperous" (Psa 128:1-2). His eye
will be on us to meet our needs and help us.
To give someone first preference to someone is to
to honor them or respect them. The Psalmist tells us
that God's guarantee of supply continues to those
that will honor Him and give Him first preference.
"He supplies the needs of those who honor Him; He
hears their cries and saves them" (Psa 145:19). He
not only hears our cries but acts on our pleas that
come to Him and He delights to save us from trouble.
The writer of the Hebrews tells us Jesus meets our
needs because He is set apart from sinful mankind.
We were born in need of a Savior that could see our
needs, hear our cries, and save us--"Jesus, then,
is the High Priest that meets our needs. He is
holy; He has no fault or sin in Him; He has been
set apart from sinners and raised above the heavens"
(Heb 7:26). He works to make us like Him in holiness.
Let us remember who is the God that sees all things.
God's name is Jehová El Roi. He is the God that sees
the NEEDS of His people, that is our moral conscience
and strength daily, and is our strong support because
our hearts are truly His. Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that
that sees everything that we need!
