When a person has a great victory, who should he give credit
for the accomplishment? What should the victorious person
understand about how the great victories are accomplished?
Is there a high bar and standard for a person that desires
to continue to have great victories in his life?
David was a man who often remembered to praise God for the
times he had been preserved by God. He acknowledged that
and was grateful for God's help. He recogized the necessity to
rely on God, but not on his own understanding or his wisdom--
God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect"
(2Sam 22:33). David gave tributes of thanksgiving for times
of deliverance from his numerous and powerful enemies. He
praised God for establishing him in the power and glory of
the Kingdom that God created.
The Writer to the Hebrews explained God's desire to provide
an excellent and perfect way for those that will follow Him-
"His purpose is to equip you in every good thing to do His
will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom be the power and glory forever
and ever" Amen (Heb 13:21). He understood that whatever the
good that we do, it is God working that good in us. Praise
came from his soul when he realized that He makes us fit and
suitable for His Kingdom.
Moses taught the Hebrews the necessity for maintaining the
relationship with God pure and being spiritually fit for Him-
"You will be blameless before the Lord your God" (Deu 18:13).
The Psalmist recognized the power and blessing that came to
those who endeavored to walk and live in God's perfect way--
"Aleph. How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who
walk in the law of the Lord" (Psa 119:1). God has raised a
high bar for those who want to follow Him; but He has also
promised a high reward for those that operate by His power!
Let us remember who is all powerful and all sufficient.
God's Name is Jehová El Shaddai. He is the God who does
not give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and
a sound mind. His power can give us all we need to live a
righteous life. Lift your hands to the most powerful God
of all the universe. You can Trust Him Today for strength
and power in your life!
