What power can any person have to defend himself against

the assaults that are taking place in schools and society?

How can those that have suffered such great loss of loved

ones not be bitter to those that have perpetrated such acts

of terror against others? What can help a person to have a

sound mind and counsel during tragedies of great loss?

Jesus took much time to answer questions from many people

that did not understand the Kingdom of God. He answered

those that tried to entrap Him with wisdom. They simply

did not understand the power of God. To resurrect anyone

from the dead requires a power that only Jesus has, and

He promised that His disciples would be raised to eternal

life to live in His Kingdom where everything is different.

His answer to those who that tried to entrap Him was this-

"You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power

of God" (Mat 22:29). That power of God is authority over

the forces of evil, sin that try to intimidate those that

are children and disciples of the Kingdom of God!

Paul knew that the power of the Believer did not consist

of words but his power came from Who ruled his heart. It

did not matter to him who might take his life, his eternal

life was secure with the love of Christ that saved him--

"And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us

up by His power" (1Cor 6:14). The disciple loves God for

the fact he has been rescued from the entrapments of evil

and darkness. The disciple loves God for all of His ways

that are kindness and mercy!

Solomon wrote of the great wisdom and sound mind that came

from the treasures of Christ and the knowledge of Him; it

is Christ in the heart and mind. He has revealed Himself

to the disciple of faith and given him prudence and skill-

"Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding,

power is mine" (Pro 8:14). Christ tells us here that by

the riches of His grace one may have much wisdom and the

sound mind to contemplate it. Though many men have devised

methods to ruin others, God's method is one for recovery!

Let us remember Who has the holier and righteous way.

Let us remember who is all powerful and all sufficient.

God's Name is Jehová El Shaddai. He is the God who does

not give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and

a sound mind. His power can give us all we need to live a

righteous life. Lift your hands to the most powerful God

of all the universe. You can Trust Him Today for strength

and power in your life!
