What purpose does God have to strengthen the born again
Believer/Disciple? Does God demonstrate His power for
the benefit of His Believers/Disciples? Does the Lord
have enough strength to accomplish what He wants?
The Psalmist prayed that the Almighty God would protect
and strengthen the Messiah Jesus, for He is the Arm of
the Lord that has all power to execute His righteousness-
"Let Your hand be on the man of Your right hand, on the
son of man whom You made strong for Yourself"(Psa 80:17).
We are only able to persevere to the end by His strength
and be fruitful since He has protected the vine that He
created and protected. Anyone redeemed should not think
or consider returning to an old way of life and sin.
The Psalmist roused his memory about God and His power in
all circumstances when he considered what God did to the
enemies of Israel in Egypt and on many other occasions---
"You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is
Your right hand" (Psa 89:13). The Psalmist praised Him
for there is none like Him; His right has all the power
to work on behalf of His elect. In the worship of God he
expressed a reverence and humility to an awesome God!
The Lord spoke through the prophet to express absolutely
His uncomparable power. All of creation waits to obey Him-
"Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And
My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call
to them, they stand up together" (Isa 48:13). Whatever He
commands is executed by His detailed instruction. He has
the power to command the universe to execute any decree!
Let us remember who is all powerful and all sufficient.
God's Name is Jehová El Shaddai. He is the God who does
not give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and
a sound mind. His power can give us all we need to live a
righteous life. Lift your hands to the most powerful God
of all the universe. You can Trust Him Today for strength
and power in your life!
