What is a holy war? Who is our war actually against? How
difficult would it be to live in a country of ominous and
oppressive leaders? How difficult would it be to live with
threats and torture?
A holy war is one fought with the purpose of eliminating
the perceived inequities and injustices against your people.
The Scripture tells us that our war is not actually against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, rulers of the
darkness, and authorities of evil. We take for granted the
blessing of safety and security in our homes. In our society
oppressive acts are condemned. The walls are not broken down.
The Scripture tells us not to live in fear of those who
perpetrate such evil acts of terror. To the contrary we should
make a statement and stand against destructive terror. In
addition, when threats of terror are made by terrorists,
our governing authority's goal is to protect our people.
That is how God cares for and governs His people. He will
not let His followers be in a position to cower down to
evil. He calls us to rely on His power and stand against
what is not right.
God promises us that He who is in us is greater than he
that is in the world. In our struggle and battle against
evil, we can have the victory today. That is His promise
to His children.
Let us remember who is all powerful and all sufficient.
God's name is Jehová El-Shaddai. He is the God who does
not give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and a
sound mind. All our needs are met in Him, and He can be
trusted. Trust Him and Praise Him Today for your strength
and a more powerful way!
