Who is the most powerful man in the world? What could a

person do with so much power? Does absolute power corrupt

absolutely?

Most people would respond that a very wealthy person or

a leader of a big country with many resources would be a

a very powerful person. The Scripture tells us of a very

powerful and strong leader that was a judge of Israel for

20 years. His name was Samson and was known as the

strongest and most powerful man around.

Samson used his power to defeat the enemies of Israel.

He openly acknowledged that his physical strength came

from the Lord. He was a benevolent leader with a heart

of compassion. He could not bear to see his countrymen

suffer at the hands of the enemies of Israel. The events

that are recorded of his great victories are many. There

was no person and no army strong enough to subdue him.

The enemies of Samson searched for the source of his strength.

They found his weakness to be his choice of trusting the wrong

woman. Ironically, just as the source of his strength came from

trusting the Holy Spirit, the source of his weakness came by

trusting his own choice. He was unable to decline the offer of

a close intimate relationship. Our enemy Satan also offers

counterfeit close intimate relationships that have a purpose

to destroy us. Don't let a bad choice destroy you.

Let us remember who is the all powerful and almighty God.

God's name is Jehová El Shaddai. He is the God who

uses His strength to defend and support us. His power can

give us all we need to live righteously . Lift your hands to

the most powerful God of all the universe. You can Trust Him

Today for strength and power in your life!
