Do you know of a present leader of a country that lifted
himself up and exerted his wrongful dominion over others?
Do those types of leaders benefit their country or their
personal lives by oppression of others? Is there anyone
that will eliminate that oppression and reward those that
have pursued the right course in life?
Isaiah tells us that it was Lucifer, the close and trusted
angel that became envious and prideful and fell from heaven-
"I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be
like the Most High God" (Isa 14:14). Lucifer had the desire
to have a universal dominion. His prideful ambition was the
cause of expulsion and being cast from heaven.
Daniel tells us that Nebuchadnezzar was a man that allowed
pride to rise up in his heart. Even though he was advised
to remain humble, his pride was the cause of his sentence--
"Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made
like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys.
They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with
the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules
in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it the people that
He chooses" (Dan 5:21). He was made to acknowledge that it
is God who is the King in charge of this world.
Daniel put the subject into perspective about those saints
that have humbled themselves in pious living and worship--
"But the saints of the Most High God shall receive the reward
and kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever
and ever" (Dan 7:18). The promise of recompense by God to
those who worship Him in spirit and in truth is wonderful
to know. There is a merciful God in control who has the
highest and best ways for His Believers/Disciples.
Let us remember who has the higher and better way.
God's Name is Jehová Elyon. His thoughts and ways
are higher than ours. He has the solution to every
problem that we face. That solution and way can be
yours today as well. Can you turn your eyes towards
heaven 3 times today and pray to the Most High God
for a higher way? Lift your hands to Him today for
His higher way. Trust Him and Praise Him Today for
a higher and better way!
