Do we expect our leaders to be perfect and operate in office
without human error? If a leader truly did right and was with
out errors diligently serving the people, would he be a very
popular leader?
The Psalmist knew the absolute high power and authority
of the Lord, and praised Him because of His perfect ways-
"I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the Name of the Lord Most High
(Psa 7:17). Although we may experience things in society
that are not right, we may experience the righteousness
of God and His perfect ways. The Psalmist praised God
and found comfort in the fact that the Most High God
would perfect those things that concerned him!
The Psalmist prophesied of the results for those that put
their trust in God to receive a blessing. Those that have
bound themselves by His covenant find His promises to be
true. They are never disappointed at His righteous acts--
"They will eagerly tell the memory of Your abundant times
of great goodness, and will shout joyfully of about Your
righteousness" (Psa 145:7). The Word and Name of the Lord
are good; His compassionate works among men are grace to
men. He is full of gracious acts that cause the redeemed
to say so with joyful shouts to the Most High God!
The Psalmist realized the benefit of praising God and the
blessing that he received for making sacrifices of praise-
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing the
praises to Your Name, O Most High; For You, O Lord, are
the Most High God forever!" (Psa 92:8). He found that
he received further blessings in addition to his original
blessings by continuing to praise God.
Let us remember who has the higher and safer way.
