Has anyone really seen God? Is it possible to see Him now?
When people report nowadays that they have seen God in a
vision is it for real?
Certainly it is possible for God to do anything and reveal
Himself to whom He chooses. God has done this at certain
times throughout history as evidence that He does exist.
However Jesus tells us that there is a greater blessing
for those who believe and follow Him without seeing Him:
Then He said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at
My hands; then reach out your hand and put it in My side.
Stop your doubting, and believe!" Thomas answered Him,
"My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to Him, "Do you believe
because you see Me? Blessed are those who believe without
seeing Me!" (John 20:27-29).
God's purpose to reveal Himself throughout history has
been for all of humanity to benefit from His message.
Isaiah tells us: "In the year that King Uzziah died,
I saw the Lord. He was sitting on his throne, high and
exalted, and His robe filled the whole Temple. Around
Him flaming creatures were standing, each of which had
six wings. Each creature covered its face with two wings,
and its body with two, and used the other two for flying"
(Isa 6:1-2). In your mind's eye you can see God from the
description of Isaiah, but the purpose of this encounter
was for all people to know that God was holy and that He
changes our hearts and tongues to be holy as well.
Jesus calls us to a higher and purer way in our lives
just as Isaiah was called. He asks the question, "Who
can I send?" He gives the promise of blessing to those
who will pursue a pure heart before Him: "Happy and
blessed are the pure in heart; they will see God
(Mat 5:8)!
Let us remember who has the highest and best way.
God's name is Jehová Elyon. He is the God of a higher
and better way. You can see God today by your eyes of
faith and your pursuit to have a pure heart. Those that
seek Him in truth will find Him. He will change your
your heart to serve Him. Trust Him and Praise Him
Today for the highest and best way!
