What miracle did God use to deliver His people from
sin and destruction? What method does He use to protect
those that trust Him with their future? What mandate is
the result of God's faitfulness?
Luke tells us that Mary questioned how the miracle
of a virgin birth could occur and was answered---
"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy
Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the
Most High shall overshadow you: for this reason also
the holy child that you carry shall be called the Son
of God" (Luk 1:35). Many times the methods that
God uses to deliver His people are past finding out.
The Scripture tells us that the workplace of Daniel
was hostile. His associate advisers were envious of
his good standing with the king and devised a plan
to destroy Daniel. The plan of the advisers was to
make his daily habit of praying to God a high crime--
"When Daniel learned that the order had been signed,
he went home. In an upstairs room of his house there
were windows that faced toward Jerusalem. There, just
as he had always done, he knelt down at the open windows
and prayed to God three times a day" (Dan 6:10). He
understood that no law could be justified before God
that prohibited the worship and glory of God. It did
not deter his daily, faith habit to commune with the
Most High God .
After the king realized the advisers had tricked him
to use his power in a way to destroy Daniel, he was
very upset. But the next morning, he saw that the
God of Daniel was faithful to protect him. Then he
was very relieved and happy; so he made a decree---
"I command that throughout my empire everyone should
fear and respect Daniel's God. "He is a living God,
and He will rule forever. His kingdom will never be
destroyed, and His power will never come to an end"
(Dan 6:26). He is the Most High God who provided a
solution to the problem of Daniel and the king.
Let us remember who has the higher and better way.
God's Name is Jehová Elyon. His thoughts and ways
are higher than ours. He has the solution to every
problem that we face. That solution and way can be
yours today as well. Can you turn your eyes towards
heaven 3 times today and pray to the Most High God
for a higher way? Lift your hands to Him today for
His higher way. Trust Him and Praise Him Today for
a higher and better way!
