How valuable is the ability to reason and makes conclusions
about the world and those that live around us? Is there any
real purpose to all that happens to us; or is it all by chance
and luck of the genetic draw? Are we powerless to mend the
important things in our lives that can break?
To reason is to come to a conclusion about facts that make
it possible to make a decison based on those facts. Jesus
taught His disciples to understand the fact He was the One
that made the heavens and the earth. He was quite surprised
that they would be so concerned about their daily provision-
"O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves
because you have brought no bread?" (Mat 16:8)- Jesus didn't
think it logical for their concern and trouble when it was
possible for Him to supply anything by one word. They were
able to understand His teaching by His Spirit of wisdom. It
was His words that were simply spoken to create the world.
Luke recorded the work of Paul among the early disciples of
Christ and his methods of encouraging and strengthening them
in their many difficulties. The purpose of trials was taught-
"Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God"
(Acts 14:22); However Jeremiah specifies that God does have a
limit of what affliction He allows and doesn't intend to hurt-
"For He does not afflict willingly, Or grieve the sons of men"
(Lam 3:33). In addition, Ezra states that any affliction that
we endure is less than we deserve (Ezr 9:13). We must conclude
only from the facts that the Creator of the universe wishes to
promote growth and progress in the lives of His precious ones.
David was a man who thirsted after God and His righteousness
but still recognized the sin of his heart. That fact caused him
to recognize the need for the work of a supernatural power
in his being; his mind, soul, and heart. He requested that
God would create an inner being in him with a resolution
that would be fixed and unmoveable to God's purpose for him-
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast
spirit within me" (Psa 51:10). He wanted a right spirit to
maintain his constant relationship with Christ so that he
would not yield to temptation. He never wanted to lose the
joy of his salvation again, for it was not in his own power to
mend that broken fellowship. How valuable that creation of
a New Creature becomes to those precious ones of Christ!
Let us remember who is the Creator of the universe. God's
Name is Jehová Hoseem. He is the God who is the Creator
of our faith and reason. He is the Creator of our growth
and progress in Him. He is the Creator of the New Creature
spiritually. Trust Him and Praise Him Today for all the
"new" that has come and the "old" that has passed away. He
is determined to bring us joy as we progress in Him.
