Is it difficult for a person to believe that after
death, the physical body will be resurrected? What
can convince a person to stop doubting and believe?
What makes a person fail to believe after proof has
been provided to him to convince him?
John tells us that it was difficult for Martha to
believe that Jesus could bring life to her brother
Lazarus who had been dead for 4 days. His gentle
admonition came in the form of question. Jesus had
never failed in one word of His promise, His ability,
or His compassionate acts of mercy and great miracles-
"Did I not say to you, if you will believe, you will
see the glory of God?" (John 11:40). Certainly if the
God of Creation made man from the dust of the earth,
the corpse that returns to dust can be resurrected by
the same ability of the One who created it!
Matthew tells us that one night at sea while Jesus was
with His disciples, they were asleep in the boat. They
were made awake by the strong winds and sea, and found
that Jesus was not in the boat, but out walking on the
water. Peter called to Him to verify His identity for
the disciples believed they were seeing a ghost. Jesus
answered him and asked Peter to step out on faith and
come to Him. Peter obeyed Jesus, but doubted and sank-
"And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took
hold of him, and said to him, "O you of little faith,
why did you doubt?" (Mat 14:31). Jesus was there when
the faith of Peter failed. The God of Creation Who
made the seas, certainly can calm them. His purpose is
for our faith to grow and progress in Him!
Jesus was disappointed that His disciples continued
to have difficulty in the ability of God. After His
disciples failed in their attempt to heal a young boy
and cast a demonic spirit from him, Jesus explained
the reason that that they failed in doing God's work-
"Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I
say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you
shall say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,'
and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to
you" (Mat 17:20). The God of Creation can only make a
new creature with prayer! Prayer is an absolute essential
ingredient with faith to make things happen with God!
Let us remember Who has the holier and righteous way.
Let us remember who is the Creator of the universe. God's
Name is Jehová Hoseem. He is the God who is the Creator
of our faith and reason. He is the Creator of our growth
and progress in Him. He is the Creator of the New Creature
spiritually. Trust Him and Praise Him Today for all the
"new" that has come and the "old" that has passed away. He
is determined to bring us joy as we progress in Him.
