Do you often times try to find a solution to questions
that are difficult to reconcile or seem to make sense?
Have you noticed that somethings seem to block the view
of the answer, but later you used a system of logic to
find a solution? What is the value of a permanent and
perfect solution and system?
The Psalmist was a man like us with questions about the
world and people around him. His problem was to understand
how people could live seemingly content without God. But
he found a solution by meditation on God's word and promise-
"I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle
to the music of the harp. When we look at the wise, they
die; fool and dolt perish together and leave their wealth
to others. Their graves are their homes forever, their
dwelling places to all generations, though they named lands
their own. But God will ransom my soul from the power of
Sheol, for He will receive me" (Selah) (Psa 49:4,10,15).
He relied on God's word to provide a solution and reminder
that God would also provide for his eternal salvation.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians to help them with solutions to
questions, but also to explain God's system of salvation-
"The system which brings condemnation was glorious; how much
more glorious is the activity which brings salvation! Their
minds, indeed, were closed; and to this very day their minds
are covered with the same veil as they read the books of the
old covenant. The veil is removed only when a person is joined
to Christ. Even today, whenever they read the Law of Moses,
the veil still covers their minds. But it can be removed, as
the Scripture says about Moses: "His veil was removed when he
turned to the Lord." Now, "the Lord" in this passage is the
Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is
freedom. All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with
uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who
is the Spirit, transforms us into His likeness in an ever greater
degree of glory. (2Cor 3:9,14-18) God provide us His system of
salvation to transform us.
Peter explained to the early believers that God provided the
sacrifice that made the new system permanent and perfect--
"For you know what was paid to set you free from the worthless
manner of life handed down by your ancestors. It was not
something that can be destroyed, such as silver or gold; it
was the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without
defect or flaw" (1Pet 1:18-19). That perfect and permanent
sacrifice is our help and hope for a solution and system.
Let us remember who is the God that provides all things.
God's name is Jehová Jireh. He is the God that provides
a Solution to the problems of His people. He is the God
that provides a System for His people to live. He is the
God that provided a Sacrifice for humanity. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact that He
is the God that provides for our every need!
