Are some questions very difficult and do the lives of
many depend on the solution to the questions and problems?
Would you consider a death sentence to be a bad system of
justice or a system of justice that has proved itself in
history? What sacrifice could be made for humanity that
would make the system of justice equitable?
The Scripture tells us that Daniel and his three friends
had a problem. Their life was in danger and they would
die at the king's orders if he could not find a solution
for the king's question. All the wise men were sentenced
to death if no answer could be found, but Daniel prayed
with his three friends and God gave Daniel the answer---
"After this Daniel went in to Arioch, to whom the king
had given orders to destroy the wise men of Babylon, and
he spoke thus to him: Destroy not the wise men of Babylon:
bring me in before the king, and I will tell the solution
to the king" (Dan 2:24). We have similar problems in our
lives that need only a solution that God can provide. He
is the God that provides that solution for us!
Paul explained the system of grace to the Galatians that
the Lord provides for us. Daniel and his friends were not
strangers to the death sentence. They were dead to the law-
"If I start to rebuild the system of Law that I tore down,
then I show myself to be someone who breaks the Law. So far
as the Law is concerned, however, I am dead—killed by the
Law itself—in order that I might live for God. I have been
put to death with Christ on His cross, so that it is no longer
I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that
I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me
and gave His life for me. I refuse to reject the grace of God.
But if a person is put right with God through the Law, it means
that Christ died for nothing!" (Gal 2:18-21). The Lord provided
a system of grace that makes us dead to the law of sin.
The Writer to the Hebrews explained that we also have means
to sacrifice to the Lord by our praise and confession of Him-
"Let us, then, always offer praise to God as our sacrifice
through Jesus, which is the offering presented by lips that
confess Him as Lord" (Heb 13:15). Our offering to Him of our
confessions of Him is well accepted by Him. Certainly with
His sacrifice for us on the cross that made us dead to the
law, He is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. We are
happy to confess Him now as the Lord that provides.
Let us remember who is the God that provides all things.
God's Name is Jehová Jireh. He is the God that provides
a Solution to the problems of His people. He is the God
that provides a System for His people to live. He is the
God that provided a Sacrifice for humanity. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact that He
is the God that provides for our every need!
