What predictions are being made about events that will
take place at the end of the year. Is it wise to make
plans for the coming year end? Will many listen to those
who are making predictions and advising many to make the
necessary preparations?
Isaiah was a prophet that many approached with inquiries for
knowledge about God's ways. As a man of God he was not one
to discourage any to come to him, but spoke his predictions-
"The watchman says, The morning has come, but night is still
to come: if you have questions to put, put them, and come
back again" (Isa 21:12). God provided Isaiah the solutions
to their many questions. Unfortunately many were not asking
about their responsibilities, the state of their soul, or
about the way of salvation.
Just as Isaiah spoke God's Words, Ezekiel was a prophet
who was a watchman also. He considered his duty to warn
his countrymen from harm and danger. He spoke to them to
prepare them for the worst, if many changes weren't made-
"Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have
committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit!
For why will you die, O house of Israel? For I never have
pleasure in the death of anyone who dies, Therefore, repent
and live" (Eze 18:31-32). God has a mercy system and will
relent from His wrath and judgement if men will seek His
face and repent!
Peter preached to many people just as Isaiah and Ezekiel.
Not surprisingly the power of the Holy Spirit was able
to open hearts with truth and good news of the Gospel--
Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart,
and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren,
what shall we do?" He responded, "A sacrifice has been
made for your sins by the providence of God, but now you
must repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name
of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you
will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:37-38).
Let us remember who is the God that provides all things.
God's Name is Jehová Jireh. He is the God that provides
a Solution to the problems of His people. He is the God
that provides a System for His people to live. He is the
God that provided a Sacrifice for humanity. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact that He
is the God that provides for our every need!
