How difficult are solutions to provide for the problems
that you face today? Do you have a system that provides
a way to solve problems today? Is there anyone who could
provide a solution to the economic and political problems
our world faces?
To each person facing a problem, the solution many times
may be simple, other times complex. Our financial markets
reveal that the economy is globally interconnected. What
happens in another country's economy now impacts ours.
The systems used to stabilize those problems are new models.
The method used to solve those problems are untested.
The Scripture tells us that Abraham had a problem. His
problem was that God told him to sacrifice his son on an
altar. He could not understand that God would take his
son from him after so many years of waiting. When his son
Isaac asked him where was the sacrifice, Abraham unknowingly
and prophetically spoke that God would provide the sacrifice.
God actually provided the sacrifice for Abraham, after his
faith was tested and found to be sincere. God provided a
ram caught in the thicket, and Abraham sacrificed the ram.
Our faith works the same way today. The writer of Hebrews
tells us that by faith Abraham offered up his son Isaac to
sacrifice him. Paul tells us that Abraham had faith and
believed God and it was reckoned to him righteousness.
But God provided the solution to his problem when He
saw that Abraham truly believed. God provides solutions
and systems for us today that are tested.
Many ask why God would ask Abraham to sacrifice his son,
and why was a sacrifice necessary anyway? The Scripture
tells us that the first sacrifice was made by God for Adam
and Eve when they sinned, for skins of animals were used to
clothe them. God's law states there is a death penalty for
sin. God ultimately put that death penalty on His Son Jesus
to provide a sacrifice for our sin, just as He provided a
sacrifice for Abraham.
Let us remember who is the God that provides all things.
God's name is Jehová Jireh. He is the God that provides
a solution to the problems of His people. He is the God
that provides a system for His people to live. He is the
God that provided a sacrifice for humanity. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact that He
is the God that provides for our every need!
