Why is it difficult to believe someone when they tell you
they have a great new system that works? Why is it often
times difficult to understand that a solution can be so
simple? Have you noticed that many times the simple fix
solution requires a sacrifice?
Paul tells us that God has a great system for escaping the
pitfalls of trouble by helping us to overcome temptation:
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common
to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation
provides escape from it, that you may be able to bear
it. Temptation is grievous, but to be trapped by the sin is
much worse. God is faithful to help us from that trouble.
Paul asks the question for us to ponder the source of our
solution: "So then, does He who provides you with the
Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works
of the Law, or by hearing with faith" (Gal 3:5)? That
question reminds us that our simple faith, not the
keeping of the law, brings our solutions from God.
Just as the solution to a financial problem may require
a simple sacrifice to spend less, a sacrifice of one's
will can provide other solutions. The Psalmist asked
God: "Help us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of
Your Name; And deliver us, and provide atonement for
our sins, For the love of Your Name! That atonement is
a sacrifice that God made for us. Our sacrifice can be
our will that says we will turn to Him and listen to His
will and His way.
Let us remember who is the God that provides all things.
God's name is Jehová Jireh. He is the God that provides
a solution to the problems of His people. He is the God
that provides a system for His people to live. He is the
God that provided a sacrifice for humanity. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact that He
is the God that provides for our every need!
