Should the "born again believer" warn the person who
despises God? Can you remember ever going to a bad
place or ever being in a bad place? Were you better
when you left that place and were relieved of the
stress that it caused you?
The Writer to the Hebrews preached of the pity one
should have for those who insult God and His Spirit--
"Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will
he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God
underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which
he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the
Spirit of grace" (Heb 10:29)? Paul gave his readers
a sobering reminder that one should not take lightly
God's offer of salvation for it's a terrible thing
to fall into the hands of the living God. Ezekiel
tells us to warn that person of the danger (Eze 33:8).
Paul preached to the Corinthians to remind them of
the sorrowful place they had come before Christ--
"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but
you were sanctified, but you were justified in the
Name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God"
(1Cor 6:11). Bless God for the exception of Jesus who
came to justify, to sanctify, and to glorify us.
Paul preached to Agrippa about the purpose of Christ to
enlighten those who did not know about the forgiveness
of sins and to give them an everlasting inheritance----
"to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness
to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they
may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among
those who are sanctified by faith in Me" (Acts 26:18).
Christ's purpose is to liberate us from sin's power.
Let us remember who is the God that sanctifies us as a
holy people. God's name is Jehová Mekaddesh, He is the
Lord that sets His people apart. He completely cleanses
us from all unrighteousness. He completely liberates us
from the power of sin. He completely fills us with His
Holy Spirit. Lift your hands to Him and Praise Him today
for His mercy, purpose, and will to sanctify us!
