Who should make the way of salvation clear to those that
do not understand it? When do you believe that will happen?
How does God prepare His people to make the way clear for
salvation to all the nations and peoples? What does every
true disciple and believer purpose and pursue as a goal?
Isaiah preached that the believers should should make
the way of salvation clear for many to understand it--
"Go through the gates; prepare the way of the people;
make ready the highway; gather out the stones; lift up
a Banner for the peoples" (Isa 62:10). He prophesied
that a clear and plain way should and will be made for
Christ's salvation; all difficulties will be removed.
He brings a reward of comfort and peace with Him; but
a work of humiliation and reformation before Him; and
His people will be called, The holy people, and, The
redeemed of the Lord.
The Scripture tells us that God raises His people as a
banner and lifts them out of suffering from problems--
"He lifts the poor from the dust and raises the needy
from their misery. He makes them companions of princes
and puts them in places of honor. The foundations of
the earth belong to the Lord; on them He has built the
world" (1Sam 2:8). His banner that He raises over us is
His love for us. He teaches His disciples integrity and
honor that should be found in places of authority.
Paul advised the Philippians to make a mental banner
of our purpose in life. It is the reward of our faith and
pursuit of His standard of righteousness and kingdom---
"I pursue, looking towards the goal, for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil 3:14). True
believers make Christ all in their life, and set their
hearts upon a higher Standard and Kingdom.
Let us remember who is the God that is our Banner. God's
Name is Jehová Nissi. He is the God whose Banner over
us is His love. He raises up His Standard of Righteousness
for us when the enemy comes in like a flood. He makes
that Standard of Righteousness a higher calling in your life.
Lift your hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact
that He is the God who is our Banner and is ready to
accept our mental choice, our soul-life changes, and our
life's strengths and concentrations to love Him!
