How important is your faith to an uncertain future that
every individual faces daily? Is timing everything or is
it not important? Is it comforting to know that that if
you make the right decisions now, you will not suffer a
loss or be disgraced, but will be vindicated and exalted?
The Psalmist expressed his faith in God by stating to
God what he would continue to do- pray and trust Him--
"But as for me, I will pray to You, Lord; answer me,
God, at a time You choose. Answer me because of Your
Great Love, because You keep Your promise to save"
(Psa 69:13). He believed that God loved him as He has
promised in His Word. He believed in a future answer
from the Lord at the perfect time of His choosing.
Isaiah expressed his confidence in God by declaring
that God would rise up to assist him by His grace--
"For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not
be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed" (Isa 50:7). The
Great Grace of God gave Isaiah the resolution and the
determination to know he would not be disgraced but that
he would be exalted by the Lord at His perfect time.
The Writer to the Hebrews described the better life and
higher standard that God has in store for the believer-
"Because God had decided on an even better plan for us.
His purpose was that only in company with us would they
be made perfect" (Heb 11:40). The plan of the Lord that
will complete and perfect us according to His will. His
time to unite the early believers with later generations
of believers will be Great Glory for the Lord that is
worthy and deserving all of our devotion and love.
Let us remember who is the God that is our Banner. God's
Name is Jehová Nissi. He is the God whose Banner over
us is His love. He raises up His Standard of Righteousness
for us when the enemy comes in like a flood. He makes
that Standard of Righteousness a higher calling in your life.
Lift your hands to Him and Praise Him today for the fact
that He is the God who is our Banner and is ready to
accept our mental choice, our soul-life changes, and our
life's strengths and concentrations to love Him!
