What or who do you know to be the best guide for living

that you have found? Does the guide offer protection and

safety along the way in life? Are you able to profit by

the assistance of the guide?

The Psalmist testified that God's written Word was a light

in dark times; times that were difficult to know the answer-

"Your Word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path"

(Psa 119:105). When he did not know the right direction, he

relied on God's Word to enlighten his mind. It is a guide to

us for direction and purpose. It is a help to maintain our

steps in God's Word when nothing else seems to make sense.

The Psalmist declared the Lord was a guard of his life for

he had determined to go against the course of the world---

"The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but

the evil are on the way to their doom" (Psa 1:6). It is

the purpose of the Lord to hedge His righteous ones securely-

"The Lord guides us in the way we should go and protects

those who please Him" (Psa 37:23). The Way of the Lord is the

way to live and His promise to guard us makes us secure.

James boldly stated that you will have great gain from the

Lord if you simply ask Him while in His Word and His Way-

"But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, Who

will give it to you; because God will give generously and

graciously to all" (James 1:5). He is waiting to help every

one who will make the request. Wise King Solomon wrote that

the choice is ours to make, and one can choose the right Way-

"You are the one who will profit if you have wisdom, and if

you reject it, you are the one who will suffer" (Pro 9:12).

Great gain is God's intention for each one in His Way.

Let us remember who is the God that is our Shepherd. God's

name is Jehová Rohi. He is the God that is our Guide. He

Provides direction and a way for us. He is our Guard. He

Protects us from harm and keeps us safe under the shelter

of His wings. Jehová Rohi teaches us that godliness is great

Gain. He Profits us by withholding no good thing to those

that walk in His righteous paths. Lift your hands to Him and

Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that leads

and shepherds us according to the integrity of His heart!
