Do you find that you need motivation or inspiration to
accomplish certain tasks? Does one need extra strength
to maintain emotional well being? How can fear be the
motivating factor to benefit a person?
The Psalmist tells us that one must be holy to be happy,
for there is no other way to heaven. The Lord guides His
own by providing inspiration and instructions to do so--
"He who walks blamelessly, and does what is right, and
speaks truth from his heart; who does not slander with
his tongue, and does no evil to his friend, nor takes
up a reproach against his neighbor" (Psa 15:2-3). Love
of God and neighbor are the priority of the Believer's
daily business for they are the thoughts and purposes of
his heart's goal.
Paul wrote to the Romans to guard their happiness and the
peace of God in their lives. Protection from harm and evil
come from following the paths and principles of the Lord--
"Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the
fulfillment of the law" (Rom 13:10). A wall of protection
is built by God around the Believer that makes his refuge
in the hope that God gives strength to follow His paths!
The Psalmist reinforced the benefit and blessing to obedient
Disciples. The profit to them is no lack of satisfaction---
"O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him,
there is no want" (Psa 34:9). To gain contentment from His
provision is fulfillment that can not be matched by what the
world has to offer. Fear of God produces wisdom in a person,
if the fear produces an obedient response to God. A healthy
recognition that God exists as a judge who determines our fate
in eternity should produce submission to the Holy Spirit. To
submit to God's gentle instruction is always profitable!
Let us remember who is the God that is our Shepherd. God's
Name is Jehová Rohi. He is the God that is our Guide. He
Provides direction and a way for us. He is our Guard. He
Protects us from harm and keeps us safe under the shelter
of His wings. Jehová Rohi teaches us that godliness is great
Gain. He Profits us by withholding no good thing to those
that walk in His righteous paths. Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that leads
and shepherds us according to the integrity of His heart!
