Who is best qualified to give you directions in your life?
Can you trust that those directions and leadership will be
truthful and best for you? Will you be able to rely on those
directions throughout your life until your life ends?
If you were wearing a "GPD" (Global Positioning Device), a
satellite would know exactly where you were on the planet.
That device can give you the exact coordinates of your
location and direction for your desired destination. The
Psalmist tells us that God has a "GPD", and a "GKD" (Global
Knowledge Device). God knows where you are and who you are:
"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from your
presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make
my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings
of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even
there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me
fast. For You created my inmost being; You knit me together
in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full
well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the
secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the
earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained
for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God! How vast is the
sum of them" (Psa 139:7-10,13-17)! God is qualifed to give you
the best directions for your life !
Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will not deceive you, but
will be truthful in directions for the decisions of your life:
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you
into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak
only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come"
(John 16:13). You can trust those directions will be best for
your life.
In addition, the Psalmist tells us that His guidance will always
be there for you: "For this God is our God for ever and ever;
He will be our guide even to the end" (Psa 48:14).
Let us remember who is the God that is our Shepherd. God's
name is Jehová Rohi. The Psalmist speaks of His leadership
and direction: "Yet I am always with You; You hold me by my
right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward
You will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but You?
And earth has nothing I desire besides You. My flesh and my
heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my
portion forever" (Psa 73:23-26).Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that
shepherds us according to the integrity of His heart!
