When you hear about miracle cures, are you somewhat
skeptical and would proof be needed to convince you?
What would it take to persuade you to try the miracle
cure for yourself? What do you think the response to
the miracle cure would be if proved to be true?
Jesus proved that His power to heal was in cooperation
with His mission and errand to this world. That mission
was to cure the spititual infirmities and maladies of
man. Because disease, sickness, and torment are symptoms
of the sickness of the soul, His great mission was to
take away the source of the sin by healing the soul-
"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and
healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease
among the people" (Mat 4:23). There was no one too
bad and not one too hard for Christ to heal with just
one word. Those that were afflicted with diseases which
make one faint and wear away were healed; those that
were tormented mentally were healed. No complaints were
without a cure from the Savior and Healer, Christ!
Paul preached the Gospel of the Kingdom with a zeal
that many did not understand. Some believed he was
pressed from within to preach and he made convincing
statements with a purpose to persusade others. His
message was consistent with examples to prove Jesus-
"And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath
and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks" (Acts 18:4).
Often if he was rejected by the Jews, he turned to
the Gentiles preaching the Gospel. However big the dose
of healing that He received from Jesus on the Damscus
Road, it went deep into his being to completely make
a transformation in him. He used every resource that
was available to him and every opportunity to preach
the Gospel of the Kingdom!
Peter and the other Disciples were recognized as those
that had been with Jesus. They preached a message of
the Gospel of the Kingdom with great power and signs-
"The response to the Apostles was so great that they
even carried the sick out into the streets, and laid
them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by,
at least his shadow might fall on any one of them"
(Acts 5:15). That power of Jesus and His Holy Spirit
did those miracles at the hands of His apostles. The
purpose is to rescue sinners from the power of sin and
Satan. Christ chooses to work by all those that can be
called His faithful servants. Anyone and everyone that
trusts in Him to be saved will be healed!
Let us remember Who is the God that is our Healer. God's
Name is Jehová Rophe. He is the God that is our Healer.
He binds up our wounds and heals all of our infirmities. To
the brokenhearted, He comforts the soul. To the person who
is down, the Sun of Rightousness Rises with healing in His
wings. Lift your hands to Him and Praise Him today for
the fact that He is the God that heals us of the spiritual
infirmities that trouble us!
