Are there angelic beings that exist and are they required
to answer to anyone? Who will judge the powerful kings and
leaders of the world that have conquered other nations by
force and oppressed them? Who is the mighty king that is
strong in battle and able to liberate those oppressed ones?
Isaiah tells us that a day is coming when the Lord will
judge the prideful angelic beings that were disobedient
as well as the prideful, powerful leaders of the world-
"It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will
punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the
earth the kings of the earth" (Isa 24:21). To judge the
powerful One must be the true Lord of Lords and King of
Kings. He is the Lord of the hosts of heaven and Lord
of all the peoples of the earth.
Habakkuk prophesied that times would come when strong
men would attempt to conquer other weaker nations---
"Wealth is deceitful. Greedy people are proud and are
restless—like death itself they are never satisfied.
That is why they conquer nation after nation and are
proud for themselves" (Hab 2:5). History has proven
that those men were not able to remain. But John tells
us that One is coming to conquer for the good of man-
"I looked, and there was a white horse. Its rider held
a bow, and He was given a crown. He rode out as One with
complete authority as a conqueror to conquer" (Rev 6:2).
Jesus will return with the rightful authority to restore
truth and righteousness in high places.
The Psalmist answered the question to those who asked by
what power would Israel be liberated and have victory---
"Who is this great king? He is the Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, victorious in battle" (Psa 24:8). He will not
be defeated. He is the Captain that will lead us to our
victory!
Let us remember the God that is our Captain. God's name
is Jehová Sabaoth. He is the God who is the Captain and
Lord of The Hosts of Heaven. He is the Mighty Conqueror
over all of His enemies. He is mighty in battle and able to
lead His Host to victory. Lift your hands to Him and Praise
Him today for the fact that He is the God who is our Captain
that leads us to our victory! He teaches us to overcome!
