Is there someone as a friend that you trust without doubts?
Is there someone you know that would always help you in a
difficult time and be faithful? Do you have a friend that
you can tell your problems and he listens and responds to
you without criticism? Do you have a friend that loves
you at all times regardless of the situation?
The Psalmist tells us, "Trust in the LORD and do good;
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the
desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your
righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your
cause like the noonday sun". The Lord can be your friend.
You can trust Him with your life. He knows you because
He made you.
The Psalmist also tells us,"The LORD is faithful to all
His promises and loving toward all He has made. God is
our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though
its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with
their surging". Listen to the Psalmist and the source
of his strength:"He guards the lives of His faithful
ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Jesus listens to the problems of His people. You can talk with
Him without fear. John tells us,"For God did not send His Son
into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world
through Him. God wants to converse with His people. He tells
us through Jeremiah the prophet, "Call unto Me and I will
show you great and mighty things, things that you don't
about".
We have a friend that loves us at all times. God tells us
through the writer of the Hebrews,"I will be with you; I
will never leave you nor forsake you". We can say with
confidence: "I will not fear what a man may do to me, if
the Lord be with me, who can be against me?" (Heb 13:5-6)
We can trust the Lord our faithful friend.
Let us remember who is the God that is always with us. God's
name is Jehová Shammah. He is the God that is our companion.
His fellowship is our joy and confidence. He is our counselor.
When we do not have an answer in difficult times, He gives us
the answer. Jehova Shammah is our comforter. When we are
suffering, He comforts us with with His reassurance. He gives
more grace according to His promise. Lift your hands to Him
and Praise Him today for the fact that He is the God that
is always with us!
