Can the miracles of the Bible be disproved? How can
God prove that He is God to those on earth? Can He
prove His ability and power over the authority on this
earth and universe? What is the consequence when the
top government officials are not persuaded with the truth?
Moses received an answer to his question before God
about how the top official the Pharoah would ever be
convinced that his God (Yahweh) was the true God---
"The Lord said, "If they will not believe you or be
convinced by the first miracle, then this one will
convince them" (Exo 4:8). God's miracles are recorded
for us to believe and be convinced He is God.
Just as Jesus healed the friend of the Roman Centurion,
He healed the son of the government official that asked
for the help of Jesus. Jesus manages the manger's need--
"He asked them what time it was when his son got better,
and they answered, "It was one o'clock yesterday afternoon
when the fever left him." Then the father remembered that
it was at that very hour when Jesus had told him, "Your son
will live." So he and all his family believed. This was
the second miracle that Jesus performed after coming from
Judea to Galilee" (John 4:52-54). Jesus can be relied upon
to manage our daily affairs and needs.
Luke tells us that Paul lost his life and there was an
official that had the power to release him prior to his
execution. Agrippa, like the the high official Pilate
found no wrong in Jesus, found no wrong that Paul had
done. Both officials had to make a very tough decision--
"King Agrippa, do you believe the Prophets? I know that
you do." Agrippa replied to Paul, "In a short time you
will persuade me to become a Christian" (Acts 26:27-28).
Unfortunately Pilate and Agrippa were not persuaded to
accept the truth; Jesus was crucified and Paul beheaded.
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. Yahweh is the God Jehová, there is no other
god like Him. Jehová is the Lord of Miracles. He alone
has the power to Manage our life. He alone was
Mortified by a death that had no power. He used
His power to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power and
purpose of His miracles today!
