How important is it to remember the miracles of God and the
power He has to work miracles? When a person experiences a
miracle from God or is able to verify that God performed a
miracle, how should that person respond to it? What will be
the outcome if any person refuses to accept the fact of
God's miracles?
The Psalmist tells us that Israel fell away from serving
God, and did not remember His great works for Israel---
"And they forgot His deeds, And His Miracles that He had
shown them" (Psa 78:11). Because they did not remember
His great and mighty power to work miracles, they began
to suffer. God expressed His resentment when provoked
by their unbelief; not in denying what they sinfully lusted
after, but in granting it to them. They suffered greatly
by the consequences of those sinful actions.
Matthew tells us that Jesus was disappointed with the
people who had seen much of God's mercy but did not
revere the acts of God as His call to change of heart-
"Then He began to reproach the cities in which most of
His Miracles were done, because they did not repent"
(Mat 11:20). Those hearts are hard indeed, that will
neither be melted by the mercies of the Lord, nor will
be broken by His judgments. Those that choose to remain
in sin should expect to remain in trouble.
Matthew tells us Jesus did not do many miracles in the
presence of those that didn't believe Christ's reality-
"And He did not do many miracles there because of their
unbelief" (Mat 13:58). Paul asked the question to those
who did not consider it important to believe the miracles-
"What does it accomplish if some did not believe? Will
their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without any
effect (Rom 3:3)? A Righteous Judge tells us that He is
faithful to judge with equity for all that denied His
existence and the reality of His miracles that can and
do prove Him.
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. Yahweh is the God Jehová, there is no other
god like Him. Jehová is the Lord of Miracles. He alone
has the power to Manage our life. He alone was
Mortified by a death that had no power. He used
His power to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power and
purpose of His miracles today!
