Do miracles prove there is an unseen force that could be
at work and can't be explained? Is it possible that this
force has a purpose and is actually managing the universe?
Should an individual try to know or believe that this force
could have an impact on his life?
The Scripture mentions many signs and wonders that can't be
explained except the fact that a God of miracles exists and
that He proves His existence to confirm the Gospel truths--
"God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders,
and with various miracles, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and
according to His own will" (Heb 2:4). This true purpose to
display to us a glimpse of God's mighty power should teach
us not to neglect His Gospel Salvation.
Paul explained to the Ephesians in answer to many questions
that some folks still ask today, "If God manages all things
what is His intention to us?". Paul preached a message about
what God manages-"He predestined us to be adopted as sons
by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of
His will" (Eph 1:5). All of God's ways are by mercy, kindness,
and truth. His plan for management of this universe considers
each individual's best interest. For those who have difficulty
believing that He has a better plan to manage their life, He
says, "I will help you in your unbelief"!
Peter preached to the men of Israel about a man that was healed
because of his faith in Christ. The miracle confirmed the Gospel-
"And on the basis of faith in His Name, it is the Name of Jesus
which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the
faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health
in the presence of you all" (Acts 3:16). The message of Peter
purposed to show the responsibility that each person has for the
death of Jesus-"You Mortified the Prince of life, the One whom
God raised from the dead, a fact to which we all are witnesses"
(Acts 3:15). But Peter did not purpose to anger or drive the men
of Israel to despair for their crime against God. Certainly many
are ignorant, not that it as an excuse, but pardon is the purpose
of God when the conscience is pierced. Men must repent quickly!
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. Yahweh is the God Jehová, there is no other
god like Him. Jehová is the Lord of Miracles. He alone
has the power to Manage our life. He alone was
Mortified by a death that had no power. He used
His power to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power and
purpose of His miracles today!
