In what manner would you consider that some may see God's
face? Would it be great to know that the enemies of our
country were abolished? What would you consider a turning
point for the wrath of an enemy to suddenly cease?
Moses tells us the story of Esau meeting Jacob after many
years of estrangement and enmity. Jacob wrestled with God
and prayed through the night for safety and blessing from
God. The God of miracles changed the heart of Esau quickly
from wrath to warmth of heart towards Jacob; He is amazed-
"No, please, if I have now found favor in your sight, then
receive my present from my hand, Because I have seen your
your face As though I had seen God's Face, because you
were pleased with me" (Gen 32:10). Jacob understood that
the blessing of God through the night had immediately been
answered. Esau embraced Jacob and wept. The reconciliation
of the brothers was evidence of God's miracle for Jacob.
Jacob found that God managed his efforts by reconciliation.
It was a clear sign to Jacob that God was present with him
when Esau embraced him and accepted his gifts. In the same
way that Esau was reconciled to Jacob, Jacob had a desire
to be reconciled to God, so that he would not be an enemy
of God. Jacob wanted the peace of God to rule his relations.
Paul tells us that Jesus managed our enemy by reconcilation-
"He abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of
commandments contained in ordinances, to create in Himself
one new man from the two, thus making peace, to reconcile
them both to God in one body through the cross, by putting
to death the enmity" (Eph 2:15-16). It is God's purpose to
eliminate the hostilities against us by His reconciliation!
Paul explained to the Romans that through Christ each person
that decides to follow Him has been saved from the wrath of
his enemy because His work begins at the moment of salvation
"For while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through
the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we
shall be saved by His life" (Eph 2:15-16). Paul compares the
point that if God did that while we were enemies of His, how
much more will He do for those that adore and obey Him. God
began His work for us by allowing His own Son to be mortified.
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. Yahweh is the God Jehová, there is no other
god like Him. Jehová is the Lord of Miracles. He alone
has the power to Manage our life. He alone was
Mortified by a death that had no power. He used
His power to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power and
purpose of His miracles today!
