Is there a way to know if an unexplained supernatural
event was a miracle from God? Can we understand methods
that seem extraordinary by God? What does God purpose
for us to understand about the conditions for the best
miracle of eternal life?
Jesus explained to His Disciples that normally God works
in ordinary means, but often it pleases Him to work His
will by extraordinary means. You may test those miracles
by the doctrine that follows them and the effects. Jesus
cautioned them not to discourage any Believer that brings
sinners from the power of Satan to a hope of righteousness-
"Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My
Name can soon afterward speak evil of Me" (Mark 9:39). In
addition, one who has the faith to trust God to do a miracle
will not readily hurt the cause of Christ. If sinners repent
to live in the hope of righteousness and God, God has worked
His miracle through the Believer! Such a Believer would not
be considered against the Disciples but an ally!
Paul explained to the Philippians that although we may not
understand every method of God, we may rejoice that by His
management of the Believer(s), His plan will be accomplished-
What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in
truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice, yes, and
I will rejoice" (Philippians 1:18). He further indicted that
without his sufferings, God would not have been able to show
him many things. He did not preach for the praise of men but
but to keep Believers (himself included) strong against the
many afflictions and temptations that we face every day. By
the management of the Holy Spirit, the Believer who summons
the power of God by his petitions of prayer will be upheld!
Paul explained to the Believers in Corinth that there is a
daily need to mortify the body of sin to subject it to the
management of Christ. He further intimated his own weakness
in the body of sin, that even he as an apostle could become
a reprobate (one cursed by God), if he abused his high call-
"I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after
I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified"
(1Cor 9:27). This doctrine represents that no person can be
unconditionally elected absolutely to eternal life. There is
a Judge who will qualify or disqualify the Believer for the
prize and the reward that he strives to attain. Salvation is
free and comes with many privileges, but comes with certain
responsibilities; the responsiblity to live a life of power
over sin by the One who was mortified for us!
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. Yahweh is the God Jehová, there is no other
god like Him. Jehová is the Lord of Miracles. He alone
has the power to Manage our life. He alone was
Mortified by a death that had no power. He used
His power to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power and
purpose of His miracles today!
