Have you ever faced what you considered an impossible
situation? Do miracles really happen and if they do,
who determines whether I get one or not? Is a miracle
simply something that we cannot explain or supernatural?
The Scripture tells us that Moses and his people in
Egypt were placed in an impossible situation of their
workload to make bricks. God had pity on them and
intervened. He performed certain miraculous signs
and wonders at the hand of Moses. The wizards of
the Pharoah were able to duplicate many of the signs,
but the God of Moses proved the superiority of His
miraculous power.
Jesus tells us there were many lepers in Israel, but
only Naaman was healed. Even though a foreigner and
enemy of Israel, Naaman found faith to believe the
God of Elisha had the power to heal him. It was not
personal favortism to heal him, but by God's wise
appointment that God miraculously healed Naaman's
leprosy through Elisha.(Luke 4:27)
The writer of Hebrews tells us it is impossible to
please God without faith. Paul tells us it is not
possible for God to lie. An angel told Mary when
she was with child that nothing was impossible for
God. Jesus told His disciples that with man things
that are impossible, are possible with God. He also
stated that if you have the faith of a mustard seed,
nothing will be impossible for you.
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. God's name is Jehová, or Yahweh. Jehová is
the Lord of miracles. He alone has the power to
manage our life. He alone was mortified by a death
that had no power. He used His power to overcome
sin and death for us. Lift your hands to Him and
Praise Him today for the power and purpose of His
miracles today!
