What do you consider to be the greatest unexplained miracles
of our world? Do we take for granted those good things that
happen to us that we cannot explain? What do you think
the purpose of those types of events have in our life?
Many would respond that the birth of child is something that
we understand much about, but cannot explain how a soul and
physical life come together. Job tells us: "Your hands formed
and shaped me, Remember that You made me from clay, You gave
my father strength to beget me; You made me grow in my mother's
womb. You formed my body with bones and sinews and covered the
bones with muscles and skin" (Job 10:8-10). Job's reference to
his Maker accepts God's miracle of creation and ownership of
his life.
Many pour out complaints when life does not go well and many
at that point begin to blame God for their circumstances. It
somehow does not seem logical that a person who would not
acknowledge his creator and maker for his life would then
blame a God that he doesn't believe. Job complained to God
but acknowledged His control: "You have given me life and
constant love, and your care has kept me alive. But now I
know that all that time you were secretly planning to harm
me" (Job 10:12-13). That complaint later changed to praise.
Moses was a murderer and David a murderer and adulterer.
They were men like us that relied on God and His mercy
to deliver them from all their troubles. Isaiah said: "Surely
God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The
LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; He has
become my salvation" (Isa 12:2).
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. God's name is Jehová Yahweh. Jehová is
the Lord of miracles. He alone has the power to
manage our life. He alone was mortified for us by
a death that had no power. He used His power to
overcome sin and death for you and me. Lift your
hands to Him and Praise Him today for the power
and purpose of His miracles today!
