Would you consider it a miracle if you were declared
dead, and then later awoke and were alive? Is there
one who is capable of managing your affairs? Would
you feel better if there was no guilt of wrongdoing
in your life?
John tells us that a man named Nicodemus went
to Jesus to find the answer to his question. How
can a man be born again? He had seen and heard
about the supernatural power of Jesus, but what
he preached about a man "to be born again", he
had to know firsthand--So one night he went to
Jesus and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You
are a Teacher sent by God. No one could perform
the miracles You are doing unless God were
with him" (John 3:2). Jesus then explained what
made that miracle possible. The Gospel of believing
by John tells us that a man must believe to be born
again, and God's miracles begin in his life.
God reminded Jeremiah that his ideas were not
logical given his present situation---The Lord
said, "Jeremiah, if you get tired racing against
people, how can you race against horses? If you
can't even stand up in open country, how will you
manage in the jungle by the Jordan? Jeremiah
began to put the events and present circumstances
into perspective when he realized that God was
managing his affairs.
Peter preached to his fellow Hebrews to remind them
that they were responsible for setting a murderer
free and mortifying an innocent person. But not just
any innocent person, it was the Son of God----"You
killed the one who leads to life, but God raised Him
from death—and we are witnesses to this" (Acts 3:15).
But bless God, it was according to His plan to make
it work for the good of mankind.
Let us remember who is the God that makes all things
possible. God's name is Jehová, or Yahweh. Jehová is
the Lord of miracles. He alone has the power to
manage our life. He alone was mortified by a death
that had no power to hold Him. He used His power
to overcome sin and death for us. Lift your hands to
Him and Praise Him today for the power and purpose
of His miracles today!
