Is God's salvation for eternity or is possible for one
to lose his salvation? Why does the born again believer
defend his faith so strongly? Should a person investigate
salvation to know if it's true? How can one be convinced?
The writer to the Hebrews understood that salvation of a
man was for eternity. His readers doubted their salvation
at times. He knew that if a person was truly born again,
his salvation would not be lost. There may be many times
that the saved person would sin, but God's salvation plan
includes a promise to change from sin to righteousness--
"But, beloved, we are convinced of better things that
concern you, and things that accompany Salvation, though
we are speaking in this way" (Heb 6:9). He made reference
to the hope and benefits that accompany salvation, the joy
and peace that one has because he has escaped sin's hold.
Jude explained to the early church that the believer should
make a defense of the gospel at every opportunity available-
"Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about
our common Salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you
appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was
once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 1:3). Jude knew
that many continually questioned the validity of the gospel
and the power of salvation, and the truth should continually
be proved and defended without any apology.
Peter explained that the truths of salvation were a mystery
and that wise men from ancient times carefully examined the
facts to know the details of salvation and its validity---
"As to this Salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the
grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry"
(1Pet 1:10). It is a wise man that studies the facts and
the details of salvation to experience its truths and to
know the God of Salvation.
Let us remember who is our Savior. God's Name is Jehová
Yeshua . He is the God of Salvation when the impossible
situation troubles us. He is the God that sends us a message
of hope when we don't believe we can make it . Raise your
hands to the Lord Of Salvation. Praise Him and thank Him
as the Messiah of Salvation Today!
